Copyediting & Proofreading
For those writers who've gone through the comprehensive revision and edit phase and are now ready to polish their manuscripts.
Copyediting:
Once you’ve read through the feedback and thoroughly revised your manuscript, it’ll be time to move to the editing phase and the phase that most authors tend to skip. Revisions improve and strengthen the quality of your story, and to do so, those large changes will leave your draft a bit of a mess. Through copyediting, I will perform a close read of your text to catch any inconsistencies with the story and with the text, catching things such as typos, repetition, syntax, grammar, spelling, tense shifts, word choice, and punctuation. I will also check for any discrepancies with character descriptions and ensure the plot points still line up from beginning to end.
Feedback will be provided in-text, tagged with an assessment letter to address common issues and how to strengthen them.

Proofreading:
The final step. After we’ve gone and made the necessary changes through copyediting, we’ll comb through the draft for any mistakes. Proofreading is to ensure that the draft reads clean in the published state and doesn’t leave your reader thrown off-guard if they stumble over the words. With proofreading, I will go over your draft to pinpoint any errors that are hiding sneakily in the writing, such as typos, spelling, grammar, punctuation, and consistency.
Feedback will be provided in-text, tagged along with an assessment letter to address common issues and how to correct them for the final read.
